Inspections

A home inspection is a visual non-intrusive inspection. We preform these inspections on residential homes, condominiums, townhomes as well as multi-family units.

A wind mitigation inspection includes reporting on the roof-to-wall attachments and opening protection such as shutters or impact windows along with the age of the roof.

A 4-point inspection is a standard inspection for home insurance. Any home built over thirty years ago is required to have this type of inspection in order to obtain home insurance. This type of inspection includes reviewing the age of the roof, plumbing, electrical and HVAC components of the home.

A comprehensive home inspection consists of a non-invasive physical examination of a home's systems, structures and components and is intended to assist in the evaluation of the overall condition of the dwelling. The inspection is based on observation of the visible and apparent condition of the structure and its components on the date of the inspection and not the determination of future conditions.

This type of inspection is essentially a visual snapshot of a home’s condition as it exists at the time of the inspection, and that condition is described in a comprehensive written report. The heating and cooling equipment are reviewed along with operating plumbing fixtures, testing accessible electrical outlets and fixtures, and operation of doors and windows. A visual inspection of the roof, crawl spaces, walls and drainage adjacent to the home are included.
